Founders Metals (FDN) Expands High-Grade Gold Zone at Upper Antino Project Amid Promising Drill Results

Founders Metals (FDN) has announced a significant expansion of its high-grade gold zone at the Upper Antino project, following encouraging drill results from the 2025 exploration program.

The most notable results include drilling that yielded mineralization of 46.0 meters grading 3.59 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, including a substantial 16.0-meter intercept with higher grades of 8.58 g/t gold. This drilling highlights the deposit’s potential for further evaluation and resource expansion.

The Upper Antino project is located within a historically rich mining area in Quebec, known for producing high-grade gold.

The successful drilling at this site continues to affirm the property’s promising geological features. Founders believes the current findings will enhance the understanding of the gold mineralization at Upper Antino and could lead to defining a more substantial resource, according to Mining Weekly.

President and CEO of Founders Metals, Mike McCrea, expressed his enthusiasm regarding the new drilling results, stating, “These latest results are very encouraging and highlight the potential for significant gold mineralization at Upper Antino. Our ongoing systematic drilling campaign aims to delineate the extent of the gold mineralization and further enhance the resource base.”

McCrea emphasized the company’s commitment to advancing exploration and maximizing its resource potential in the Upper Antino area, according to Reuters.

Additional drilling will focus on systematically expanding the known high-grade gold zones. The current results indicate that the system remains open for further expansion, supporting an extended drilling program designed to explore these opportunities in greater detail. Founders is keen to capitalize on the momentum generated by these findings and is poised to further drill in select areas that show promise for additional gold discovery.

Founders Metals has made strategic investments in this exploration campaign, aimed at maximizing value for its shareholders. The exploratory drilling is part of a comprehensive strategy that includes continued assessment of geological data and the implementation of advanced analytical techniques to improve understanding and extraction potential.

As of now, the total number of drill holes completed in the current campaign stands at 20, with additional results awaited to confirm findings and further detail gold grades across multiple intersections.

The results of the drill program are expected to have a favorable impact on the company’s resource estimates and overall project viability moving forward, according to Bloomberg.

Founders Metals remains committed to mining responsibly and sustainably while focusing on delivering value to its shareholders through strategic exploration and development efforts.

The company aims to strengthen its market position in the resource sector and continue advancing its exploration activities at Upper Antino. As assessments progress, stakeholders are encouraged to stay updated on developments and forthcoming assays that may further illuminate the potential of this promising project.
