Newcore Gold (NCAU) hits high-grade gold in Ghana as drilling program unveils promising results at Enchi Project

Newcore Gold (NCAU) has reported promising drilling results from its Enchi Gold Project in Ghana, where recent assays returned significant intersections. Notably, drill hole EN22-80 intersected 1.0 metre grading 18.4 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, while another hole, EN22-81, returned 3.06 g/t gold over 17.0 metres, including a higher-grade intersection of 8.73 g/t gold over 3.0 metres, as reported by The Manila Times.

These latest results are part of a larger drilling program launched earlier this year aimed at expanding the project’s resource base and enhancing its overall value. Newcore has now reported results from 38 drill holes in this program, focusing on both resource expansion and exploration targets.

“The recent results from our drilling program demonstrate the potential for further discoveries at Enchi, which is already known for its open-pit gold resource,” said Ryan Smith, President and CEO of Newcore Gold. “We remain excited about the implications of these results as we continue to enhance our understanding of the gold system at Enchi,” as noted in an announcement by TipRanks.

The Enchi project covers over 50 square kilometers of mineralized land in the iconic Ashanti Gold Belt, which is noted for its rich deposits. The project’s current resource estimate stands at 1.1 million ounces of gold, and the company is keen to layer in additional resources through this active drilling campaign, per MarketScreener.

In response to the encouraging results, Newcore is planning follow-up drilling and further analysis to define targets for upcoming programs. The company emphasizes its commitment to responsible development and stakeholder engagement in the region.

Gold remains a key focus for Newcore, particularly as demand fluctuates globally. Exploration in Ghana, renowned for its stable mining environment and considerable historical production, positions Newcore favorably within the competitive landscape, highlighted by their recent surge of 12%, according to Simply Wall Street.

Looking ahead, Newcore plans to maintain its aggressive exploration strategy at the Enchi Project, targeting high-grade zones while continuing to expand its overall resource base. These developments align with the company’s broader goal of enhancing value for shareholders in a rising gold market, as it seeks to unlock further potential within its gold assets.

With solid results in hand, Newcore Gold is poised to leverage its strategic positioning in Ghana as it seeks to unlock further potential within its gold assets. Investors will be keen to follow how the next phases of exploration unfold in this prolific gold belt, as further exploration is planned following these significant results.
