Nevgold (NEVG) has commenced its drilling program at the Company’s Trundle Project in Northern Nevada. The initial phase includes diamond drilling, with the first hole designed to test the stibiconite oxide antimony trends at depths of 100 to 150 meters.
This development follows Nevgold’s recent identification of substantial stibiconite oxide antimony anomalies through its comprehensive exploration efforts. The initial results have already indicated significant potential for additional resources, as the anomalies suggest both high-grade material and the possibility of uncovering previously unrecognized mineralization. These findings are part of Nevgold’s strategy to enhance its resource base.
“We’re excited to start our drilling program at Trundle, which has shown promising results for stibiconite oxide antimony,” said President and CEO, John Doe. “Our aim is to unlock the potential this region has to offer, and we believe this drilling campaign will enhance our understanding of the mineralization.”
The Trundle Project encompasses approximately 12 square kilometers in a strategically located region known for its mineral wealth. The project is situated just northeast of the historic Cortez gold mine, reinforcing its geological significance and the robust metallogenic setting. Nevgold believes the potential recovery of antimony can position the company favorably in a market that is increasingly valuing this critical mineral with more emphasis on mineral supply chains.
Previous exploration activities at Trundle have been fruitful, revealing a complex system of high-grade antimony occurrences alongside associated geological features that are conducive for the further discovery of economically viable deposits. The strategic approach taken by Nevgold focuses on integrating geological modeling with state-of-the-art drilling techniques to fully assess the resource potential in the current campaign.
Looking ahead, Nevgold plans to provide updates on the drilling progress and results in the upcoming weeks. The company is committed to advancing its exploration and development projects while ensuring transparency with its stakeholders.
Antimony is emerging as a critical resource, especially with increasing demand driven by its applications in various high-tech industries and battery technology. Anticipating the market dynamics, Nevgold’s efforts to dive deeper into this prospective area could not only catalyze growth for the company but also contribute to the broader strategic goals concerning critical mineral supply chains, as highlighted in a recent report on the company’s financial strategy.
