Probe Gold (PRB) has reported significant results from its recent infill drilling campaign at the Val-d’Or East project in Quebec, revealing high-grade gold intersections, including a notable assay of 20.4 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 5.7 meters.
These results are part of a broader effort aimed at upgrading the resource quality in the area and are essential for advancing the project’s development.
The drilling campaign focused on the new Zone 24, which has exhibited robust mineralization characteristics. Significant intersections from the recent drilling include 36.8 g/t gold over 0.6 meters, 5.3 g/t gold over 3.0 meters, and a noteworthy 14.9 g/t gold over 1.0 meter.
The reported grades indicate the potential for substantial gold recovery and further validate the geological model for the area, according to Probe Gold’s analysis.
Probe Gold’s President and CEO, David Palmer, emphasized the importance of these results in relation to the ongoing resource estimation process.
“These outstanding results confirm the continuity of high-grade mineralization in Zone 24 and provide confidence moving forward with our resource estimation work,” said Palmer. He added that these findings underline the company’s strategy to focus on optimizing the resource potential at Val-d’Or East.
The infill drilling program involved 11 drill holes totaling approximately 1,900 meters, aimed predominantly at increasing the confidence level in the existing resource.
The current resource estimate for the project stands at 1.7 million ounces of gold at an average grade of 1.2 g/t, but the recent drilling has the potential to enhance this figure significantly, as reported by Probe Gold’s latest updates.
Moreover, the results obtained from this drilling campaign will aid in the preparation of a National Instrument 43-101 compliant resource estimate scheduled for Q4 2025, intended to reflect the latest exploration and infill results.
The company has reiterated its commitment to further exploration activities in the gold-rich region of Val-d’Or, attracting attention from both retail and institutional investors eager for developments in this promising venue.
As of now, the company is finalizing the technical report, which will provide a comprehensive overview of the current resource situation alongside the promising drilling results. Analysts and stakeholders are keenly awaiting more data to assess the future potential of the project.
